About this site

erol.live is a memorial site dedicated to Erol Kaftanoğlu, who passed away on 16 August 2025. It is operated non-commercially as a place of remembrance for his family and friends.

You are responsible for what you upload

When you submit a photo to the gallery or write a memory, you alone are responsible for the content you share. By pressing Send, you represent and agree that:

• You have obtained any necessary rights and permissions from the people involved in the photo or text.
• The content does not infringe copyright, violate the privacy or personal rights of others, or disclose trade secrets.
• The content is not unlawful, obscene, defamatory, hateful, or harassing.
• The content does not include another person’s personal data, contact details, or likeness without their consent.
• The name and message you use reflect your true identity and feelings; you are not posting on someone else’s behalf.

Site rights

The site administrator reserves the right, without notice and at sole discretion, to refuse to publish, remove, or modify any submitted content. Photos and memories are manually reviewed before being published.

Disclaimer

This site is provided "as is". No guarantee is given that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or work in every browser. Any legal liability arising from uploaded content is borne by the person who uploaded it. The site owner cannot be held liable for damages caused by user-submitted content.

Data we collect

The following data is collected on this site:

• The name and message you provide when submitting a memory or photo. If approved, this is shown publicly.
• The photo file you upload. If approved, it appears in the gallery. Photos are stored on our own server at api.krykftn.dev.
• When you upload a photo, an anonymous session is created for your browser. It is not linked to your identity, name, or email; it exists only to attach the upload to a browser and to limit abuse.
• For people who sign in with Google to access the admin panel only: email, display name, and sign-in time. General site use does not require Google sign-in.
• Anonymous visit and page-view counters.

You can request deletion, correction, or object to processing of your data by writing to koraykaftanoglu@gmail.com.

Content removal

If a photo or memory on the site relates to you and you would like it removed, send a request to koraykaftanoglu@gmail.com. Requests are reviewed and content is removed promptly.

Copyright complaints

If you believe an image or text is used here without permission, please reach out to koraykaftanoglu@gmail.com with details of the source. Complaints are taken seriously and acted on quickly.
